We are delighted to make our online course for professionals on problematic pornography use (PPU) available for FREE. See it here.

How confident do you feel about talking with patients/clients/service users/pupils etc about their possible problematic pornography use? Whether you are experienced in dealing with it or are new to this subject, it is a hidden epidemic especially among young people. So much depression, social anxiety, loneliness and unhappiness is being caused by out of control pornography use.  Yet we have learned over the years that professionals are largely in the dark about its impact on learning, mental and physical health, relationships and criminality. Let us help you understand this challenging subject matter better. It is suitable for healthcare, legal, education, religious, media, social work and other professionals. Let’s include parents in that list. We have sought to make the research and information as accessible as possible.

Evidence-Based Research

The course covers the latest research. We have interviewed six world class clinicians who explain their speciality, be it sexual dysfunctions or sexual strangulation etc. and suggest the best way  to approach the issues with real people. They explain diagnostic tools from the most simple to the most sophisticated along with cutting edge treatment options. The course deals with the vulnerability too of some autistic people to internet addiction.

We cover PPU in children and adolescents, single men and women, couples, and intimate partner violence.

The Royal College of General Practitioners (5 senior clinicians/family doctors) accredited this online course last year. Use it for self-certifying continuing professional development worth 6 CPD points. The RCGP have stopped accrediting any training since August this year. So without that extra cost to us, we decided to make this online course available for free. Our experiences from the in-person, day-long workshops with professionals of all kinds are the basis for course. We have updated it annually from 2017. Every year for the past six years the RCGP have accredited it to their very high medical standards.

The easy-to-use modules however mean you can start and stop it whenever is convenient for you.

Feel free to share it with whomever you think could benefit from it.
